Hotel Waldhaus near St. Moritz. Only 6 miles from the hustle and
bustle of St. Moritz, the Hotel Waldhaus has been a oasis of quiet elegance in a superb mountain setting. Splendid views of gleaming lakes and
impressive mountains: the Waldhaus sits above peaceful Sils-Maria like a fairy-tale castle, amidst lovely walking and hiking trails, with
excellent downhill and cross-country skiing close at hand. An architectural landmark with a proud history, five-star ranking, 140 rooms,
220 beds and a staff of 140, this is the very idea of a grand hotel. But there is more to it
than what you see at a first glance. The Waldhaus is grand, but also playful and relaxed (and very open to families and children).
It is luxurious, but not opulent, vibrantly alive, but comfortably old-fashioned. And it is quite large, but run on a very personal basis.
This rare and enchanting mix reflects our fiercely guarded independence. The Waldhaus is still a true family affair without any outside
shareholders or managers – something which has become exceedingly rare for a hotel of its size and class in Switzerland. It gives us a chance

Exchange rates have gone haywire, with dire consequences. Fortunately, the Swiss National Bank has now re-established some stability
by intervening in bold and unprecedented ways. But what can we do at this point? Our idea for the coming winter: every guest staying 4 nights or
longer shall receive a CHF 200.- gift voucher from the Waldhaus. This includes children 4 years old and up. The voucher, which can be divided
into smaller bits, is valid for a set of pre-determined purposes: ski passes; ski lessons (“Snow Sports Sils”); rental or purchases of equipment
or clothes at the two sports shops in Sils; the horse carriages in the Fex Valley.

Fabulous. You booked us on a great cruise but the

The trip was wonderful, CIE Tours does a marvelous job in designing the tours. Our Tour Director, Jim Alexander was the best. If I take another tour, I would request him. Also our Scotland tour guide, Richard was absolutely marvelous. The whole tour enjoyed his description of the countryside, history, his experience, and what each area had to offer. It was great.
